2006-2007 Theme: “Kingdom Living Through Spiritual Transformation: Commitment, Fellowship and Stewardship
Scriptural reference: Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans of good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Upon presenting the Church’s focus and theme for the 2006-2007 year, Rev. Eldridge made the following statement:
“With the beginning of a new conference year come added responsibilities for the children of God. Our primary focus is to win souls for the kingdom of God, and to continue to teach those new souls about living the Christian life. Before we can do that, we must be sure that we examine ourselves and make sure that we are doing our part as believers. It’s more to being a Christian than just bringing your money to church. The scriptures in Hebrews 10:25 state that as believers we are not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together, therefore, my brothers and sisters, it is imperative that we come together for Bible study, Sunday School, Sunday worship, choir rehearsals, organization meetings, etc. The Hood Memorial church needs your full participation in these endeavors. If we are to be the strong spiritual foundation for the Hood Memorial community, then we must take our spiritual work to another level. Christ has given us the ability to be able to do all things through Him, therefore, I encourage you and challenge you as your appointed pastor to let Jesus lead you all the way.”
